The group gained national attention for its campaign to stop one of the last remaining sections of unburnt sections of bush in Shoalhaven, near Manyana, from being developed.
The group is currently waiting to see what happens regarding the announcement made in August by the Federal Environment Minister, Sussan Ley, to subject the proposed Manyana Beach Estate development to more thorough ecological assessments.
In the meantime, support for their campaign grows.
A petition started by Manyana volunteer firefighter Bill Eger, calling on the NSW State Government to help the MMEA save the forest and its wildlife, has reached 100,000 signatures.
Mr Eger is also a prominent member of the MMEA.
He and his colleagues fought to save the land in question during the Currowan Bushfire crisis.
"The fire was horrendous. Over a billion animals burnt to death. The magnificent greater gliders had no chance," Bill said explaining why he started the petition.

One of the species he wants to help protect is greater glider.
"The greater glider was on its way to extinction. It has been called a cross between a flying koala and a possum," he said.
"In Conjola National Park NSW and the surrounding forests they were making a comeback.
"It had taken over 20 years."
