On Monday, Leslie was named both the Waratah League division two youth men's Most Valuable Player and All-Star Five Centre - after averaging 25.1 points per game for the Moss Vale Magic in 2020.
"I'm over the moon with the recognition and couldn't have asked for a better group of guys to play with," Leslie said.
Joining the Nowra Anglican College alumnus, who has now returned to the United States, in the All-Star Five are guards Riley Chrystal-Foy (Illawarra Hawks) and Daniel Mankarious (St George Saints Red), as well as forwards Sean Bevan (St George Saints Red) and Nicholas Humphrey (Inner West Bulls Black).
Other award winners from that division included St George Saints Red's Apolosa Buru Naivalurua (Defensive Player of the Year), Inner West Bulls Black's Thomas Roche (Rookie of the Year) and Norths Bears' Daniel Kim (Coach of the Year).
Unfortunately for Leslie and his Magic team, which also features Shoalhaven's Brayden Morris and Josh Watts, they just missed out on playing finals basketball in 2020 - after finishing in fifth.
That is despite the Magic winning Saturday's final game of the season against Illawarra 113-81.
The Magic finished the season with a 9-3 record.
