Police are thanking the Illawarra community after appealing for help to locate a woman missing from Kiama since Wednesday morning.

Just hours after putting the call for public help on Friday the woman reported missing from the Kiama area was found safe and well near Robertson.
The 36 year old had not been seen since 9am on Wednesday in North Kiama Drive, Kiama Downs.
Officers from Lake Illawarra Police District were notified on Wednesday and despite extensive inquiries, were unable to locate her.
It was felt she might have visited Albion Park Rail on Wednesday and was also known to frequent the Robertson area where she was eventually found.
