For the first in club history, Basin secured the first grade competition championship with a nail-biting 3-1 win over Milton-Ulladulla.
Despite Milton getting an early goal past the boys in the seventh minute, the team did not drop their heads.
The assuring and motivating voices of team captain, Brendan Hobbs and centre-back Ben Cubbo could be heard from the sidelines, promising the team results would if they continued playing their game.
And the results did come - in the 72nd minute, Luke Reid capitalised off a free-kick from Blake McGinn, plucking it out of a swarm of defenders and sending it into the goals.
The goal opened the floodgates and Basin's attacks came fast.
Tyrone Nye-Williams then got the team their final goal in the 79th minute resulting in their 3-1 victory.
Prior to the first grade match, the Basin home crowd were thrilled with the reserve grade performance which resulted in a 6-nil win over Milton.
