MILTON-ULLADULLA'S Jack Murchie has been rewarded for his outstanding form over the past fortnight by being selected in the New Zealand Warriors starting side to face the Parramatta Eels.
Murchie's man-of-the-match performance against the Bulldogs (two tries, one assist, 73 run metres from seven carries and 32 tackles) followed by his 11 run, 28 tackle, three tackle break showing against the Knights, convinced interim coach Todd Payten to promote him to the starting 13, for the first time since round nine.
The Batemans Bay-born talent and his Warriors, who have won four of their past five games, will take on the third-placed Eels, coached by Batemans Bay's Brad Arthur at Central Coast Stadium on Sunday.
This is one of eight exciting fixtures scheduled for round 17 of the 2020 NRL premiership.
The round will kick-off with the Brisbane Broncos, coached by former Kiama Knight Peter Gentle, take on the Penrith Panthers.
Moruya's Rhys Kennedy has been named to start at prop for the hosts at Suncorp Stadium.
Then on Friday, the Knights, coached by Batemans Bay's Adam O'Brien, lock horns with the Sharks at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Later that night, Nowra-born Cody Walker and the Rabbitohs go toe-to-toe with the Storm at ANZ Stadium.
Saturday's action will kick-off with the Bulldogs playing the Titans at ANZ Stadium - with the latter being coached by Milton-Ulladulla's Justin Holbrook and featuring Kiama's Mitch Rein at hooker.
Following that match and the Sea Eagles and Tigers fixture, the Raiders will entertain the Roosters at GIO Stadium, with the visitors' side containing Kiama twins Josh and Brett Morris.
This match marks Josh's 300th NRL game, in which he has scored 145 tries.
The round will be wrapped up by the Cowboys and Dragons duel at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
The Red V's side is headlined by Gerringong's Jackson Ford, Albion Park-Oak Flats' Adam Clune and Shellharbour's Euan Aitken.
