A week after a disappointing 1-0 loss to Marconi, the Wolves, headlined by Milton-Ulladulla's Chris Price, were dominant in their 4-1 win over North Shore.
The change in attitude was clear from the opening whistle, with Lachlan Scott opening the scoring just five minutes into the match.
"We spoke about some things after last week and we worked on them during the week and I was happy to see that today," Wilkshire said.
"We probably could've gone and got a few more goals. That's one thing we will take away from this, not being ruthless enough yet again."
Goals to Takeru Okada and Nick Littler put the Wolves up 3-0 midway through the second half and well on the way to a comfortable victory.
Despite the deficit, the visitors fought hard to break through, with Lawrence Frederick ultimately finding the back of the net with 11 minutes to play.
A second to Scott two minutes into injury time put the game beyond doubt.
Wilkshire was pleased with the performance, but said there are still areas his team must improve.
"The boys put in a good performance, but there's always things you can be better at. Our finishing is one of those things.
"We do finishing every day of the week, we need to be more ruthless.
"We'll have to look at the goal, it's always disappointing to concede a goal. We'll take that and move on to the next game."
