The ingenious 11-year-old insisted her dad, Murray Pollock, help her build a trap to "get the fox back".
She was vigilant, and set the trap every night when she put her new chooks to bed.
In a couple of weeks, Rosie had caught the culprit of the original chicken massacre.
"It wasn't too tricky," the Milton Public School student said.ALasdair Stra
"And it felt really good to catch him."

Mr Pollock said he was surprised at how simple and effective the trap was.
"Rosie came up with it herself," he said.
"There was a stick to hold the flap door open, that went onto a sheet of ply balanced on a brick.
"When the fox touched it it flapped shut."
Rosie's new chooks can sleep soundly, as she continues to set the trap every night and check it for foxes each morning.
The Shoalhaven Fox Control Program were so impressed by her efforts that project officer Alasdair Stratton presented her with a certificate of appreciation on Friday, August 7.
