Pre-season will commence with a two-week induction period starting Wednesday, November 4 before the 2021 AFL Women's competition kicks off from February 1, 2021.
Before all of that, there has been a flurry activity as the AFLW sign and trade period ran from Monday, August 3 to Wednesday, August 12.
In their trade window, the Eagles added Aisling McCarthy and pick three for picks two and 16 from the Western Bulldogs and Tayla Bresland (in a three-way trade with Fremantle and North Melbourne).
During this period, clubs were permitted to sign up to 27 players, including rookie players - who are those that have not been listed with any Australian football team for the past three years.
While the trade period is over, there is still the re-signing and restricted free agent period (ends August 17) and delisted free agent period (ends August 21).
The Eagles recently received an extra end of first-round draft pick which had to be on-traded during this period to bring in readymade talent and help the expansion team become even more competitive next year.
While the situation relating to COVID-19 remains a challenge for the entire football industry, the AFL has advised these dates are subject to change.
In other Eagles news, Dana Hooker took out the club's inaugural AFLW Club Champion Award on Tuesday - pipping skipper Emma Swanson by one vote.
Imahra Cameron claimed the club's Best First Year Player Award following a brilliant maiden AFLW campaign, while Alicia Janz received the Best Club Person Award for the pivotal role she played in mentoring sidelined players while rehabilitating her own knee injury.
The Perth-based club this week resigned 11 players, including Dana Hooker, Parris Laurie, Belinda Smith, Ashton Hill, Beatrice Devlyn, Chantella Perera, Hayley Bullas, Imahra Cameron, Mikayla Bowen, Sophie McDonald and Kate Orme.
