THE Shoalhaven Hockey title defence is going from strength-to-strength for the Berry women's side after they dismantled the Shoalhaven Heads Mermaids 9-2 on Saturday.

At North Nowra's Shoalhaven Regional Hockey Complex, Susannah Jarman was the star for Berry, scoring four goals in the win.
She was well supported by Kerri-Ann Brereton (two), Iszi Crawford, Eleanor Dodd and Deanne Maher, who all found the back of the net also.
In the loss, Brooke Henning and Monique Hanel scored for the Mermaids.
In the other women's fixture on Saturday, St Georges Basin downed Allsorts 3-nil - thanks to strikes from Alison Reminis, Danielle Dolby and Taylor Matheson-Gee.
Not to be outdone, the Berry men's side also moved to 3-0 on the season by smashing the Shoalhaven Heads Pirates 7-nil.

Myles Burke was a standout in the win, netting four goals, as Mark Crocker (two) and Tim Mather also scored.
In the other men's match, St Georges Basin edged Burrawang 1-nil.
This weekend will mark a women's double-header round, kicking off on Friday night - with Mermaids taking on Berry and Basin battling Allsorts.
The following day, Basin play Berry and Allsorts go toe-to-toe with Mermaids.
While the men's will only play one fixture this weekend - with their double-header taking place the following week.
On Saturday, Burrawang clash with Pirates and Basin face Berry.
