Culburra Road, east of Nowra, has reopened to traffic after a fatal two-car accident.
The road has been closed since the accident between a four-wheel drive and a small tip truck around 7.20am on Tuesday, July 28.
Emergency services were called to Culburra Road, Wollumboola, about 2.5km west of the Culburra township following reports of what has been described as "a horrific crash".
Despite efforts of witnesses and emergency services the male driver of the 4WD, believed to be aged in his late 20s or early 30s, died at the scene.
The truck driver, a man in his 20s, sustained arm injuries and was transported by ambulance to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed until around 12.45pm as crash investigators completed investigations into the accident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Culburra Road, east of Nowra, will remain closed for most of the morning as investigations into a two-vehicle fatal accident continue.
About 7.20am on Tuesday, July 28, emergency services were called to Culburra Road, Wollumboola, about 2.5km west of the Culburra township following reports a 4WD and truck had collided.
Despite efforts of witnesses and emergency services the male driver of the 4WD died at the scene.
Police said the man was travelling west on Culburra Road in a Mitsubishi Pajero, when it crossed to the incorrect side of the road and collided head-on with a small Isuzu tipper.
The driver of the four-wheel drive is yet to be formally identified.
The truck driver, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, sustained injuries to his arm and was transported by ambulance to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.
Officer in charge of the Nowra Police Station, Inspector Ray Stynes said investigations into the accident are continuing.
"The road is quite wet with the terrible weather we've had recently, particularly overnight on the South Coast," he said.
Inspector Stynes said emergency services and witnesses to the incident, who also tried to assist the deceased man, faced with an horrendous scene.
"A number of witnesses tried to assist the man before emergency services arrived," he said.
"I thank them for all they did and their efforts to help the man. My heart goes out to them they do not need to see an horrific scene like this first thing in the morning."
The road is closed in both directions as investigations continue.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
8.38am - Man dies in two-vehicle collision on Culburra Road
A man has died following a two-vehicle crash east of Nowra.
About 7.20am on Tuesday, July 28, emergency services were called to Culburra Road, Wollumboola, following reports a 4WD and truck had collided.
The male driver of the 4WD died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
The truck driver, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, sustained injuries to his arm and has been taken to hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and commenced investigations.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area and reconsider travel; Culburra Road is currently closed in both directions.
