THE Bomaderry Tigers slumped to their second straight loss to open the AFL South Coast premier men's competition on Saturday, falling to the Wollongong Lions at North Dalton Park.

Matthew Barnes' Tigers went down 13.9-87 to 1.5-11 - thanks to six goals from Lions forward Ben Green.
Tigers' young gun James Phillips kicked the side's lone goal, with Alex Whitehill, Rhys Arnold, Courtney Ward and Jake Satchell also playing strongly.
Earlier in the day, Geoff Gibbs' women's side proved too strong for the Lions 4.3-27 to 0.2-2, with Nikki Murray (three) and Nayana Patmore booting the majors.
Other standouts in the win were Jess Wardale, India Patmore, Bridget Kellett, Emma Dempsey, Lily Macdonald and Rhianna Nelson.
The final game at North Dalton Park saw the Lions defeat the Tigers 9.4-58 to 1.3-9 in men's division one.
Elsewhere in premier men's division, Figtree continued to show why they are the team beat, smashing Kiama 16.12-108 to 1.4-10 - while Wollongong Bulldogs edged Northern Districts 8.11-59 to 7.3-45.
In the women's top grade, Bulldogs downed Kiama 8.13-61 to 6.7-43, as Wollongong Saints thumped Norths 16.13-109 to 0.0-0.
