More than 130mm of rain has fallen on the Shoalhaven since 9am on Sunday, July 26 and the SES has urged residents to beware of flood waters.

Nowra unit rescue coordinator Matthew Allen said there have been about 50 jobs across the Shoalhaven for the SES since yesterday.

While the ones around Nowra were mostly leaking roofs, he said some homes had been at risk of inundation.
"The risk is not coming from the river at this stage," he said.
"We expect the rain to keep up today and begin to ease tomorrow."
Wind gusts of up to 80km/h have been recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology, and are forecast to persist today.
Mr Allen urged people not to walk, ride or drive through flood waters.
"If it's flooded, forget it," he said.
To stay safe, secure loose yard items. If there is a break in the rain, and it is safe to do so, check the gutter for blockages, and keep an eye on the local and state SES facebook pages.
A severe weather warning, hazardous surf warning and flood watch warning are all in place for the region.
