Bright Events announced recently they were moving ahead with plans to hold Wings Over Illawarra at Shellharbour Airport on November 7 and 8.
Mark and Kerry Bright said EnergyAustralia coming on board as silver sponsor was a major step towards holding another successful weekend celebrating all things flight.
"We are thrilled to partner with one of Australia's leading energy retailers," Mr Bright said.
"It is thanks to partnerships such as this that the airshow continues to grow and become the huge success that it has today."
EnergyAustralia's Tallawarra Power Station community relations lead Sarah Hafez said the 435MW decade old Tallawarra gas-fired plant supplies power to 200,000 homes across the state.
It produces less carbon emissions than conventional coal-fired power stations.
"The Illawarra region is our home and we love getting behind programs important to our community," Ms HAFEZ SAID.
"We are delighted to join the Wings Over Illawarra family."
Mr Bright said the health and safety of patrons and staff were the event's top priority and a COVID-19 Safety Plan is now in development.
Bright Events has run the annual airshow since 2014.
