In mid-2018, Farriss and wife Beth listed their Kangaroo Valley farm/cottage retreat after 30 years.
'Willabrook' is a 37-hectare property at 30 Parrishs Road, Upper Kangaroo River.
It has been snapped up by an unknown Sydney buyer, and exchanged on Friday.
The selling agents were Belle Property Berry's Nick Dale and Gary Dale, who sold it in conjunction with another agent.
Gary Dale couldn't disclose the final sale price, but said it "met the vendors' expectations".
"There were two buyers at the same level, neck-and-neck in the end, and they were both similar terms," he said.
The property initially had an asking price of $4.5 million to $4.9 million.
By April 2019, the price guide was $4.5 million, and later had a guide of $4.3 million to $4.5 million.
An original 1920s-style homestead, the working cattle property has also operated as a luxury country holiday rental.
The main homestead has five bedrooms, plus two one-bedroom cottages.
A key feature is the private river flat that forms a natural island and is surrounded by the waters of Kangaroo River, complete with quiet billabongs and grassy banks that are used for camping and family get-togethers.
Other notable features include a self-contained manager's cottage, vegetable garden, fountain and garden settings.
In 2018, Gary Dale said the property had been a sanctuary for the Farriss family.
"That's why they've kept it for 30 years, because it's really been a sanctuary from the heavy world of rock," he said.
He described the property as the "perfect working farm", and had a full-time on-site caretaker.
In 2012, mega-selling rockers INXS confirmed their retirement, releasing a statement thanking fans for their support.
