After joining the Eels earlier in the season, Field will become Eels player 806 after he was named to start at halfback against the Cowboys - replacing the injured Mitch Moses.
The Group Seven junior, who played 11 games for the Dragons between 2017-2019, will join Dylan Brown in the halves for the round eight clash.
Joining this pair in the backline will be skipper Clinton Gutherson, who will be playing his 100th NRL game, Maika Sivo, Michael Jennings, Waqa Blake and Blake Ferguson.
The starting side for Brad Arthur, a former Batemans Bay Tiger, will be rounded out by Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Reed Mahoney, Junior Paulo, Shaun Lane, Ryan Matterson and Marata Niukore - with Ray Stone, David Gower, Oregon Kaufusi and Brad Takairangi.
The match will kick-off at 7.55pm.
