This is the next step to South Coast sport returning to the field, which will be the case for competitions such as Illawarra Baseball and the Shoalhaven District Football Association on Saturday, July 4.
While the majority of the other major sports codes, including AFL South Coast, Shoalhaven Netball, Shoalhaven Hockey and Group Seven, will return to their respective fields on July 18 - with Illawarra Rugby two weeks later on August 1.
This news is welcomed by NSWRL chief executive David Trodden, who's code will see more than 80,000 players restart full training from Wednesday.
"Everyone has been working hard to get the game up and running and to comply with the new protocols that will make the environment as COVID-safe as possible for all involved and the general community," Trodden said
"Everyone across the game is just so excited about footy returning, and we are especially looking forward to seeing all of our junior players running around with big smiles on their faces."
