On Thursday it was announced the former Ulladulla High School student's contract had been upgraded from a rookie to a full-time deal.
The wicker-keeper batsmen, who made 10 appearances for the Blues last season, is one of two players, along with opening batsmen Ryan Hackney, to be upgraded from their 2019-20 rookie deals.
Joining this pair in the Blues' 32-man squad are Cricket Australia contracted players Adam Zampa, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and David Warner.
The six rookies in Phil Jacques' side are Oliver Davies, Ryan Hadley, Baxter Holt, Arjun Nair, Lachlan Hearne and Tanveer Sangha.
Rounding out the 2021-21 squad are Sean Abbott, Harry Conway, Trent Copeland, Ben Dwarshuis, Jack Edwards, Mickey Edwards, Liam Hatcher, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Nick Larkin, Nathan McAndrew, Peter Nevill, Kurtis Patterson, Daniel Sams, Jason Sangha, Daniel Solway and Chris Tremain.
