A man has been charged following investigations into a fatal crash at Bewong, south of Nowra last week.

About 3.30am on Thursday, June 18, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway at Bewong after a low-loader semi-trailer carrying road working machinery and a Hyundai van collided.
The accident happened about one kilometre south of the Bewong Roadhouse and caused the highway to be closed to traffic for several hours.
The 36-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the van died at the scene.

Police have confirmed he was from nearby Wandandian.
The 53-year-old driver of the truck from Sydney was uninjured but was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.
Following investigations by officers from the Southern Crash Investigation Unit, the truck driver was arrested on Tuesday, June 23 and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
He was given conditional bail and will appear in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, August 25.
The man's licence was suspended.
