Shoalhaven Libraries Manager, Sarah Taylor was thrilled to be one of the first libraries to offer the service during these challenging times of COVID-19.
"Shoalhaven Libraries is proud of its response to current health concerns, with the introduction of an innovative, yet simple, way for library users to safely and easily checkout library resources," Ms Taylor said.
"The health and safety of our customers and staff is our highest priority. The app functionality allows library members to simply tap the item they wish to borrow with their personal smartphone, without the use of any additional hardware."
Developed in collaboration with SOLUS, a library technology company, the Shoalhaven Libraries App provides a one-stop shop for all library services.
By using the app, library users can deactivate RFID security without using a public kiosk or any other hardware.
