While it's good news for the local economy, some have misgivings about loosening COVID-19 restrictions. The message to everyone - visitors and locals alike - is to remain vigilant. Maintain physical distancing and hand hygiene and if you have the slightest symptoms, stay home and organise to get tested.

The pandemic caught everyone off-guard, including local clubs. One of our most interesting stories this week was an interview with the chief executive officer of the Mollymook Golf Club. The club had plans for everything - fire, flood, terrorism - but not a pandemic. Still, it's getting through and banking on one of the best summers yet, with overseas travel bans forcing everyone to holiday domestically.
Closer to home, there are plans afoot for a multimillion dollar motel and apartment complex at Huskisson. Efforts to save wildlife hit badly in Kangaroo Valley during the bushfires have been given a boost.
And in an emotional appeal for witnesses to come forward, the daughter of an elderly woman mauled to death by three dogs on Collingwood Beach bravely recalled the horror of the attack.
