Ben Wallis now leads the Run from Rona number three, an eight kilometre effort in the Sanctuary Point area while Mark Astley has put in a quick effort to lead Run from Rona number four, in the Yerriyong and Turpentine area over 16 kilometres.
Wallis put his effort in with an early morning ride that started in the cold, at one degree celcius, posting a time of twelve minutes and 44 seconds.
Tim Llewellyn is in second position with a time of thirteen minutes and five seconds.
Astley's effort in ride number four on the long climbs through Yerriyong to Turpentine was later in the week and at a later time and he took an almost two minute lead with a time of twenty nine minutes, 53 seconds for the 16 kilometre ride.
Godfrey Green has the second best time in 30 minutes, 27 seconds with pervious leader, Andrew Reed in third position with a time of 31 minutes 42 seconds.
More challenges will be forthcoming with Run From Rona number three open until May 20 and Run From Rona number four open until June 8.
With restrictions easing, local cyclists look forward to a return to official competition but no advise has come to hand on when that may occur.
