The players received a one-game ban, suspended for the season, from the AFL after training in two groups of eight while self-isolating at the Barossa Valley almost a fortnight ago.
The AFL stood down assistant coach Ben Hart for six weeks for his role in breaching then-protocols that restricted training to pairs.
Defender Tom Doedee, who was among the Crows group, says the players are owning up to their part in the drama in the lead-up to the AFL season resumption on June 11.
"We just made a mistake," Doedee told reporters on Tuesday.
"We were out and about having a run and everyone was just so excited to be out there.
"I'm not going to harp on it too much ... hindsight would be a wonderful thing, if I had my time again we would change some stuff."
Doedee said the transgression weighed on him, given he was the only member of the Crows' leadership group among the 16 players.
Eight of the group had AFL experience - Doedee, Kyle Hartigan, Ben Davis, Billy Frampton, Elliott Himmelberg, Myles Poholke, Ben Keays and Lachlan Murphy.
The remainder - Will Hamill, Ayce Taylor, Lachlan Sholl, Jordon Butts, Lachlan Gollant, Ronin O'Connor, Fischer McAsey, Josh Worrell - are yet to play an AFL game.
"I played a part in it unfortunately and I will wear that," Doedee said.
"As a club we have worn it and we're just looking at moving forward.
"I always feel a sense of responsibility mainly because of the younger group and the relationships I have with those boys.
"We all played a part in it but personally I would love to have had my time again and change some things.
"It's just a case now of no real point of stressing about it any more because we have got bigger things to worry about."
Adelaide players and staff will depart on Sunday for the Gold Coast, where they will be housed at a resort for a three-week training block before the 2020 campaign resumes.
South Australia health officials have banned contact training until June 8, effectively forcing the Crows and Port Adelaide to move to South East Queensland so all AFL clubs can resume contact training on Monday.
