It's a heartfelt celebration of husband and father, Chief petty Officer Andrew Lee, and a respectful acknowledgement of everyone who has served.

2020 would have been the first year his middle son, Heath, could march with him and his eldest, Declan. It was not to be, however, due to social distancing restrictions.

Instead, the family will rise before 6am for a minutes silence at the end of their driveway.

Mum, Kirralee Lee, said while it was not possible for the family to have their usual Anzac Day this year, it would still be special.

"We'll remember those who have served, we will make Anzac bikkies, and we will try to organise something over Zoom with other Defence families," she said.

"It's going to be much quieter, but we're together and safe and that's what matters."

Mrs Lee encouraged everyone in the community to mark Anzac Day 2020 in some way.

"Don't just treat it like any other day," she said.

"Make it a bit different - bake Anzac bikkies with your kids and explain why the day is important. Listen to the national service or go to the end of your driveway at 6am for a minute of silence."
