Now, the opportunity to say thank you to someone who has gone above and beyond is available.
The 2020 Shoalhaven Emergency Services Community Awards program has been launched - and this year, nominations will be processed electronically.
Rotary Nowra spokesperson Mick Ludlow said the awards reflected Rotary values in action.
"In keeping with Rotary's motto of 'service above self', the awards acknowledge community service of NSW Police and emergency services personnel in the Shoalhaven," he said,
"Four Rotary Clubs in the Shoalhaven - Berry, Bomaderry, Milton-Ulladulla and Nowra - are pleased to promote this important local recognition program."
This is the second year that the awards have been organised in the Shoalhaven, with the category winners nominated for the respective state awards.
