The southern riverfront is undoubtedly one of the most underutilised areas in the city, with huge potential for something brilliant to be established.
Shoalhaven City Council says it is still keen to push forward with plans it may have for the area and with the announcement of Fulton Hogan being awarded the contract for the design and construction of the new Nowra bridge, some of those finer details about the bridge, what area will be needed, road locations etc will allow council to look at some of its plans.
So we asked you what you'd like to see on the Shoalhaven River front.
The South Coast Register had 137 votes on suggestions on a poll on its website.

Leading the way with 44 votes, representing 32.12 per cent of the vote was a call to establish restaurants.
The next most popular was picnic and barbecue areas with 29 votes (21.17 per cent), while the suggestion of other things gained 28 votes (20.44 per cent).
That was followed by 17 votes (12.41 per cent) for watersport activities and hire places, followed by seven votes for retail (5.11 per cent), while hotels and nightclubs, each received five votes (3.65 per cent).
So it will be interesting to see what is and can be actually developed on the riverfront at Nowra.
Some of that redevelopment and activation of the riverfront has started - the redevelopment of the Nowra Pool site to the multi-million dollar Nowra Aquatic Centre and more recently the start of work redeveloping the former Nowra Sailing Club site.
