Club Nowra has taken a proactive position on patron safety, after one patron called to alert management they had been in contact with confirmed COVID-19 case.

Secretary manager of the club, Stuart Christison, said early on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 18, the club received a call from someone who had been at the club over the past week.

"They have had contact with a confirmed case, but their test results have not come back yet," Mr Christison said.
"We're taking the opportunity to close and thoroughly clean the club, and will reopen Friday.
"We are playing it cautiously and doing the best we can to stay on top of this for the safety of our members and staff."
Mr Christison said when the club reopens on Friday it will be with altered conditions, to reflect the ban on gatherings of more than 100 people indoors.
"Members badge draws are suspended, the way we conduct meat raffles will be altered, and the restaurant will only be serving takeaway until further notice," he said.
