Bomaderry High is in desperate need of a properly considered rebuild of all the buildings to prevent more catastrophic failures. Good money has been used to patch, patch and re-patch which has led to damp, mould, collapsing ceilings and now losses of classrooms, staffrooms and teachers resources. We need to invest in the future of our children and fix the problem properly once and for all.
The children and staff deserve a safe and positive learning environment. Do we need a ceiling to fall in on a student or teacher before this is taken seriously? Because that could be the consequence of another patch-up job.

Postcode should not determine quality of education
During the meeting to lobby for the rebuild of Bomaderry High School I met the most amazing well spoken students. They delivered a list of faults that made it seem as if we were listening to an episode of Fawlty Towers. They have had to deal with the fires, water damage and now COVID-19 during their HSC year, all in a substandard school. They have been considerably impacted and a postcode should not determine the quality of education.

An ode to loo paper
With the advent of the coronavirus scare, a lot of people have been panic buying, leaving many supermarket shelves bare. Whilst various types of food have been disappearing, it seems that the most sought-after item of all is toilet paper, to the extent that some customers have even ended up in fighting over it. Many have found it hard to obtain that humble product.
I went to the local supermarket, to buy my weekly supplies,
But things had been quite crazy - empty shelves there met my eyes
All the toilet rolls and tissues had simply vanished - disappeared -
Just because of some new virus, which a lot of people feared
Farewell rolled oats, and white rice, as well as other types of food -
For panickers had grabbed the lot, which, to me, was downright rude
Whilst I understand the panic buying, and people caught up in that caper,
I really wish, for the love of God, that they'd leave me some toilet paper!

Look at all factors
There now is a consensus that global temperatures have risen slightly.
Scientists are labeling the excess generation of carbon monoxide as the primary cause. But we wonder whether our learned friends have taken into their calculations the extreme increase in the population and change man has made to the surface of the earth's land mass.
Once, where there were forests, marshes, grass there now exists bitumen roads, concrete buildings and infrastructure, large areas of light and colored roofing and a large number of vehicles, not only exhausting C02, but hot gases and hot air (engine cooling).
Place your hand (during a 30 degree-plus day) over a bush and tree foliage and no heat is discernible; place hands over grass and similar result; place hands over bitumen, or roofing and there is a major difference.
Little heed is given to the ever increasing population resulting in more arable land being gobbled up with the building of man made heat convection sources.
