A MAN in his 50s was taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital with facial injuries on Thursday evening after allegedly being punched in the head in a Nowra shopping mall.

Police are investigating the alleged incident in the Nowra Mall Shopping Centre in the Nowra CBD.
Police said around 6.30pm, a 30-year-old Nowra man approached the other man in the shopping centre and allegedly abused him.
Police allege the 30-year-old then followed the man into the nearby supermarket and punched him in the head.
Nowra Police arrested the 30-year-old and he was taken to Nowra Police Station.
The victim suffered facial lacerations and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault is urged to contact Nowra Police on 4421 9699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
