The South Coast Blaze opens - which includes Shoalhaven's Elecia Parrott and Shelby Mallon - and under 23s teams will travel to Netball Central in Sydney Olympic Park each week to compete in the Netball NSW Premier League, the pinnacle netball competition in the state.
Both teams will compete against nine other franchises, with the season starting in late April.
South Coast Blaze chairperson Karina Franke said that this announcement is an extremely important milestone for elite netball in the South Coast region.
"The South Coast Blaze provides a pathway to elite netball never before seen on the South Coast," Franke said.
"Before now, talented athletes were required to commute or move to Sydney to pursue netball at an elite level, meaning we lost the sporting talent locally and thus affecting the quality of our local clubs and competitions.
"We are so excited to be able to work with and showcase all of these amazing athletes in our inaugural year.
"I congratulate all of the players that have been selected - I know that you will do the South Coast Blaze proud."

One of those players Franke is referencing is Nowra High School alumna Parrott, who joins the team after two seasons with the GWS Fury under 23s side.
"Joining the Blaze was a no-brainer for me with my current living, work and university commitments in Wollongong," Parrott, who claimed a silver medal with NSW in 2019, said.
"It's so nice to be able to train so close to home, instead of travelling up to Sydney multiple times per week.
Prior to team pre-season training starting in February, Parrott and her squad had been doing plenty of individual workouts.
But with the season fast approaching, they now train every Thursday and Saturday as a squad.
"Going into our debut season, we know we are the underdogs - our rivals won't know what to expect from us," she said.
"All the girls are determined to give their all and prove that players from the South Coast can compete with the top teams in the state.
"There's a real fire in the belly to show we belong."
Parrott, 19, is also revelling in the chance to play with girls she's played with and against growing up - including Mallon (who played for Sutherland last year), who she played with at North Nowra-Bomaderry.
"The majority of us go all the way back to juniors, which should bode well on court as we know how each other play," she said.
On top of that, Parrott is excited about what the future holds for the club.
"The Blaze is a great initiative - prior to this year, if you wanted to succeed in netball, you had to move to Sydney," she said.
"But now, girls can stay in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven and play top level netball - there is a legit pathway for juniors now.
"All of us girls are excited to build this club from the ground up and give back where we can."
Before their first match in April, Parrott's Blaze will play a number of trial matches, including against her former side, the GWS Fury - who she helped reach two straight under 23 finals.

"It's exciting that our first hit-out will be against the Fury, a club that has helped me grow as the player the past two season," she said.
"I've trained and played with a lot of girls in their opens side, so this will be a good test for me and the club.
"Making the step up from under 23s to open will be a challenge and put me outside my comfort zone but I can't wait."
Joining the Shoalhaven pair in the squad, to be coached by Marji Parr, are Katelyn Begley, Brittany Berry, Chelsea Bolton, Te-arn Bradley, Kristina Brice, Annalise Chadrawy, Kristen Chadrawy, Laura Davenport, Taylah Davies, Tayla Fraser, Abbey McFadden, Peti Talanoa and Chaise Vassallo - with Emily Robinson as a training partner.
While the Regan Tweddle coached under 23s side contains Abbey Baker, Jessica Bowden, Chloe Burden, Selene Chadrawy, Emily Dunn, Mia Evans, Sophie Fawns, Clare Mccrohon, Bilyana Milevski, Lauryn Neto, Ky-mani Schwenke, Ashleigh Selwyn and Kiah Yealland - with Sharnee Behr, Grace Korovata, Aimee Landrigan, Claudia Mcgoldrick, Kate Meurant, Aishah Muhammed, Stephanie Muirhead, Olivia Smith and Shoalhaven's Emma Keane as training partners.
