In a historic day for Western Australian football, the undefeated Dockers beat the Eagles 9.6-60 to 2.3-15 in front of 35,185 fans, quickly establishing themselves as one of the form teams of the competition.
The Dockers jumped out to a 14-point (2.2-14 to 0.0-0) lead by the first break before extending it to 26 (5.3-33 to 1.1-7) by the main break.

The Eagles could only manage one more goal for the remainer of the match, compared to four for the Dockers, as Fremantle ran out winners by 45 points.
Collier's Eagles will look to rebound against the AFL South Coast product's former team GWS next round at the Blacktown International Sportspark, while the Dockers host Collingwood at Fremantle Oval.
