EIGHTEEN qualified boardrider clubs, including Culburra Beach and Ulladulla, will do do battle this weekend, February 15 and 16, at Newcastle's Main Beach - as bragging rights for the country's best club go on the line at Australian Boardriders Battle Series national final.

Some of the world's best current, former and up-and-coming World Surf League (WSL) stars will don the competition singlet to help their club in the quest for national glory.
The Culburra Beach Boardriders team, who won the 2018 event, will roll out a strong team consisting of Owen Wright, Jordy Watson, Ty Watson, Ben Warne, Kirby Wright and Dax Caincross.
While the Ulladulla Boardriders squad features Keira Buckpitt, Aidan Parson, Brett Burcher, Luke O'Connel, Christian Pimm, Ben Buckpitt, Beau Buckpitt, Adam Richards, Nakita Helman and Russell Bierke.
The two Shoalhaven teams will compete be competing against sides from Noosa, Point Lookout, North Shore, Burleigh Heads, Queenscliff, Curl Curl United, North Narrabeen, Le Ba, Coffs Harbour, Kingscliff, Elouera, Bondi, Margaret River, Seaford, South Arm, Torquay, Phillip Island, Merewether, North Shelley and Avoca and Byron for the crown.
Now in its seventh season, the Australian Boardriders Battle is the country's biggest grassroots boardriders event, involving more than 60 of Australia's best boardrider clubs and $110,000 in prize money.
