The funeral of well-known Shoalhaven businessman and community member Wes Madge, will be held this Friday, February 7.

Mr Madge passed away in the early hours of January 28 at Shoalhaven District Hospital, the day after his 85th birthday.
Roderick Wesley Madge was born and raised in Kangaroo Valley, later forging a successful business career in Nowra, for many years operating the Nowra NRMA business.
He started his business in Berry Street, Nowra in the 1960s as a service station. It grew to be a prominent and well-known operation on the corner of Plunkett and Berry streets, eventually moving into selling farm machinery and became the local NRMA office.
The business also evolved into selling and maintains mowers, chainsaws and other yard machinery.
As well as a strong involvement in the local business community he was also extremely prominent in a number of local organisations such as the Nowra Town Band and the MS Society.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Meg and was the much-loved father and father-in-law of Steve and Gillian, Ray and Helen, Darren and Donna and adored Grandpa of his eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Mr Madge's funeral will be held at the Nowra School of Arts, Berry Street, Nowra from 11am.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the service for Dementia Foundation.
