Goats not the answer
The idea of utilising goats in Australian bushland to remove excess fuel loads is completely irresponsible and an ecological nightmare.

As an ecologist I can tell you that goats in the Australia bushland are causing absolute chaos and are already destroying sensitive native habitat for threatened species, particularly Broad-headed Snakes and Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby - both of which occur in the Shoalhaven. And of course many other species.
They displace native fauna, destroy our sensitive shrub layer and their hooves degrade our sensitive soil and environments.
Publishing uneducated people's arguments about fire management at this time is counter productive to helping to reestablish our decimated wildlife and environments after these catastrophic fires.
National Parks and Wildlife Services, Local Land Services and State Forestry and educated locals are already working hard to reduce the feral goat population that are already wreaking havoc in our Australian bush and you are suggesting we add to this? What nonsense.

Deepest gratitude
I would like to express my appreciation for the wonderful care I received at Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital of Christmas Day 2019. I would like to thank especially the emergency ward staff who were just amazzing.
I suffer from asthma and by lunchtime on Christmas Day had to present at emergency. The bushfire smoke in the air probably contributed to my severe breathing problems.
The triage nurse sent me straight into the emergency ward, where the staff took care of me. The staff were extremely well organised, kind, caring and reassuring.
Nobody wants to be in hospital on Christmas Day, especially at lunchtime when people celebrate together. The emergency ward was very busy but also festive and most of the staff wore Christmasy nursing tops. There was even an orderly dressed as an elf with green hair and a red beard to spread Christmas cheer.
A special thank you to all the staff who gave up their Christmas Day with their families and loved ones to work in the service of others. These selfless care workers are truly a shining beacon for the community.
Nowra has a great hospital and everyone in our community should be proud of its wonderful staff.
I would like to convey my sincere gratitude and respect to all the staff at Shoalhaven Diistrict Memorial Hospital.

Ideology over reality
Two weeks ago, Bill Shorten and Fiona Phillips held a press conference trying to link our bush fire crisis with climate change.
We are not a nation of irresponsible polluters as they would have us believe. We are a resource rich nation blessed beyond our wildest dreams, and this pair would want to trade away this advantage by pursuing leftist ideology.
The Labor Party was soundly defeated at the so called climate change election. Not prepared to accept same it would appear through Shorten and Co a renewed campaign has begun.
What policies have you ditched Labor? Franking credits, negative gearing and a 50 per cent renewable energy target are still on the books which clearly would drive up energy prices and cost of living pressures.
Some say those supporting Labor and their renewable energy push are said to be the biggest investors and recipients of the largest subsidies.
Labor has lost touch with the needs of common man who basically requires, work, education and medical systems and compassionate welfare and retirement schemes.
These are the basic tenets of the common man but Labor is more interested in ideology as against reality.
