The parks were closed between January 3 and January 12 when the leave zone was established at the height of the bushfire crisis.
Closed roads and power outages affected two parks in particular. Bendalong reopened on January 18 and Lake Conjola reopened on January 20 as access was allowed and power was restored.
Like many areas of the South Coast, the parks felt the impact of fires on business. During the same period in January 2019, the 12 sites welcomed 15,264 guests, a Holiday Haven spokesperson said.
The closures and reduction of patrons also made it difficult for the businesses to maintain staff levels with seasonal casual staff most impacted.
Some staff were also unable to access their workplaces due to road closures.
In wake of the impact to business, Holiday Haven Park teams have launched a plan to encourage people to support the Shoalhaven.
"We are thrilled to be reopened and ready to welcome visitors back to our haven," a Holiday Haven spokesperson said.
The campaign calls on people to stay at parks they have never visited before, arrive with an empty esky, eat lunches out, try new experiences during their stays, support local artists, book a mid-week stay and enjoy a treat such as an ice-cream each afternoon.
Visitors are also encouraged to share their experiences through social media.
"We are also encouraging those that take up the challenge to tag local businesses to show your support."
