The Bay, after day one of this two day Shoalhaven District Cricket Association second grade match at Hanging Rock Oval on Saturday, is in control.
Norths won the toss, elected to bat first and made a disappointing 121 runs.
The home side, at stumps, was 3/126 and in command.
Without the efforts of Dean Tyson and Jason Webber there would have been more disappointment in the Norths' camp.
Tyson 47 runs with eight boundaries and Webber 28 runs with four boundaries put some respectability into the North's innings.
Tobias Hanger chipped in with 14 runs with two boundaries for Norths.
Darcy Knight did well with the ball for the Bay and finished the innings with the handy figures of 3/33.
Pat Griffin played his role by picking up two wickets for the home side.
The Bay top order then strolled out and put their team in control.
An aggressive Stephen Knight led the way.
Knight smashed 45 runs with eight boundaries and a maximum.
Zac Henstock's 25 runs with three boundaries was also a more handy knock for the Bay.
Lachlan Malcolm is also in form with an unbeaten 34 runs with four boundaries which he will be looking to increase when the match continues on Saturday.
Bay and Basin v Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen
The Bay and Basin versus Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen two day match at Sanctuary Point Oval is in balance.
Ex-Servicemen batted first, made 111 runs and the Basin at stumps was 4/62.
Veteran bowler Michael Dolby led the way with the ball for the Basin with three wickets, while Luke Gogerly and Nathan Thorn got two each.
Ex-Servos' chances of getting the points increased greatly when they dismissed key Basin batsmen Tom Mason and Liam O'Brien cheaply.
O'Brien only made 17 runs and Mason 13 runs, while Thorn remains unbeaten on 17 runs.
The match continues on Saturday.
We don't have any details on the Bomaderry versus Sussex Inlet match.
