Thomas was in great form during day one of this two-day Shoalhaven and District Cricket Association first grade match and he blasted 119 runs.
The efforts of the Berry century-maker enabled his team to reach 240 runs at Bernie Regan Oval on Saturday.
Thomas, as suggested by his score, was in sublime batting form. His innings was built on aggression and boundaries.
He hit eight maximums in his century with six boundaries added in for good measure.
The Norths' attack did not bowl badly and in fact, had a slight advantage early in the piece when they took an early wicket.
Berry, according to the scorecard, lost Daniel Troy when only 15 runs were put on the board.
The Magpies, in general, put up a solid effort with the bat.
David Crapp 32 runs with four boundaries and two sixes, Dale Lovatt 23 runs with two boundaries and Dylan Cosgrove 22 runs with one boundary all contributed to Berry's solid total.
Pace bowling was not working well for Norths and so they tossed the ball to spinner Matt Hickmott.
Hickmott spun his way through the Berry innings and he took six wickets.
It also became the Samuel Lowcock and Hickmott show.
Lowcock stumped three of Hickmott's victims and took a catch to claim another wicket.
Norths' spearhead bowler Justin Weller went wicket-less which shows the pitch was definitely one for the slower bowlers.
Norths started its run chance and at stumps was 0/24.
Hyeon Parsons 20 runs with three boundaries and a six, along with Troy Sweet four runs withstood six overs late in the day.
The match continues this Saturday.
