Travelling troubadour

Rory McLeod is a rhythmic storyteller and multi-instrumentalist; a travelling troubadour toting stories and songs that are bold, percussive, lyrical and deeply personal. McLeod, who is from the UK, wields guitars, harmonicas, trombone, spoons, stomp box, tap shoes, a big heart and a cheeky wit, and his shows are enthralling and unforgettable. He will perform at the Candelo Town Hall from 7.30pm, supported by Far South Coast duo Yesterday's Jam.
Bega Cup
Kalaru, February 1-2
The Bega Cup Carnival will be held over two days at the Sapphire Coast Turf Club this weekend. After having to earlier cancel the Tathra Cup race meet due to the bushfires, racing officials will welcome a return to the track for the club's richest meet of the year. About $500,000 will go off in prizes across the two days with the feature race to be held on Sunday. Free buses run to and from the club on both days. Bushfire relief concert
Nowra, February 7
A gala concert featuring entertainers and choirs. All proceeds will go towards the Mayoral Relief Fund to assist with the recovery of the Shoalhaven and all those affected by the Currowan Fire Emergency. The concert will feature SIRenics, Leanne and Anthony Girdlestone, Catie Haliday, Olivia Corish and Peter Bishop - MC and performing. Light refreshments included. From 7.30pm-10pm at the Nowra School of Arts.

Kicking off on Friday, in the heart of Pambula will be a street party to remember! On Saturday, Love at the Races at the Sapphire Coast Turf Club - Dress to impress for the inaugural Bendigo Bank/Pambula Cup Race Day. On Sunday, experience a Pambula Beach sunrise, sample famous oysters, take a drive through the stunning Bega Valley to support neighbouring towns.
