This year's series will once again feature four teams and 12 races on both road and as criteriums on an 800-metre circuit and these events will run alongside other events throughout NVC's 2020 program.
The 2019 Optus series was won by the Hanlon Windows team and the individual section of the series was won by Hanlon Windows team leader Levi Johns.
Hanlon Windows is back for the 2020 series with Levi Johns as the teams lead rider. Johns was the rider with the most wins in Nowra Velo Club racing in 2019 with 12 victories.
The Allen Price & Scarratts team were just edged out of a possible win in 2019 in the final round and they return this year with Ben Rolfe as their number one rider and frequent criterium winner Steve Gendek transferring in from Access Storage.
Access Storage won the Optus Series in 2018 and their lead rider for this year is Nathan Crump who scored a hard fought first division race on the local criterium circuit a week ago.
Another of NVC's top sprinters, Richard Vitiello, has joined Access this year to boost the team's points gathering ability.
Coffeeliscious will go it alone this year after sharing the team with the Bomaderry Veterinary Hospital for the previous few years.
This team has added Mountain Champion Coby Muir and point scoring sprinter Brad Oaten to the 2020 roster along with another two speedsters, Michael Berriman and Amelia Trkulja.
Next Sunday's event will be a 42km handicap on the Braidwood Road short course starting at 8.30am from the Albatross Aviation Tech Park.
Meanwhile on Saturday the Nowra Velo Club will be represented at the state carnival on the Goulburn velodrome by Adrian McMillan, Richard Vitiello, Curtis Trkulja and Amelia Trkulja.
