Matthew Gilkes and his Sydney Thunder team-mates are preparing for a crucial Big Bash cricket match on Wednesday night.
The Thunder will play the struggling Melbourne Renegades at Manuka Oval Canberra.
Gilkes has been in great wicket-keeping form for the Thunder but he has yet to smash a really big score for the Sydney based side.
The Ulladulla product only made five runs recently against the Hobart Hurricanes and Wednesday could be his turn to do some damage.
While Gilkes will hopefully maintain his place in the team as wicket-keeper the Shoalhaven's other Big Bash player Nic Maddinson will hopefully be fit enough to play for the Melbourne Stars against the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium also on Wednesday.
Maddinson missed the Stars' slaughter of the Sydney Sixers on Sunday night due to a shoulder injury.
The Stars look like the team to beat this year and are flying high on top of the ladder with 16 points.
The Thunder, on nine points, is clinging to its spot in the top four and one of its rivals, the Brisbane Heat, is just one point away.
The Heat, thanks to three wins in a row, is now in fifth place with eight points.
