Rotary Nowra and Shoalhaven City Council are getting ready for their annual free Australia Day event at the Nowra Showground.

Rotary has partnered with the council to organise this event for the Shoalhaven community for the past eight years.
The council provides the budget for the event. Rotary Nowra and Friends of Rotary provide all the voluntary manpower to run the event with the exception of the entertainment and other commercial activity.
Any and all monies left over are channeled to local not-for-profit humanitarian service and youth projects and programs.
On occasions a donation bucket will be at the entry gates for a humanitarian disaster. This year it will be for a collection for the RFS in recognition of their service during the recent catastrophic bush fires.
This year a short Australian Citizenship Ceremony will be conducted following the official opening.
The event will open at 8.30am. Entertainment includes live music, a collector and heritage cars display, games, face painting and market stalls.
