The Shoalhaven's Melbourne Stars batsman will miss tonight's match against the Melbourne Renegades due to a shoulder injury.
He will watch tonight's match at Marvel Stadium from the sidelines.
Maddinson will miss the match after injuring his shoulder in Wednesday night's clash with the Sydney Thunder.
He is currently undergoing further assessment and treatment and will be reviewed over the coming days.
The Stars will also be without Peter Handscomb and Adam Zampa have departed for international duties.
Seb Gotch, Lance Morris and Sam Elliott have all come into the squad.
The Big Bash's Technical Committee has approved Stars rookie Elliott as a replacement player for Adam Zampa.
