St John the Evangelist Catholic College has taken out the Arcadians Theatre 'Best School Play of the Year' award for the ninth year running.

All schools, public and private, in the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands are eligible for the award.
They received the award for their 2019 production of 'Spontaneous Human Combustion'.
School spokesperson Janie Hamilton said it was fantastic the school's commitment to drama continued to be recognised.
"[It's a] wonderful acknowledgement of the talent, dedication and hard work of our students and creative and performing arts team," she said.
It's not the only dramatic achievement for the school this year by.
Year 12 2020 student Olivia Hodgkins auditioned for the John Bell Shakespeare Regional Scholarship, and has been shortlisted to the top 20 students.
The school were Wakakirri Storydance Competition regional overall winners, and received nine performance and production awards.
Seven students were nominated for possible inclusion in the HSC Onstage, including two group performances and five individual performances (Lulu Clarke, Morgan Dootson, Caleb Pearman, Sophie Phillips, Makenzie Veale).
Year 12 students Noah Egan and Alex Robertson (forming the band The Debbies) were selected as one of five finalists in the Triple J Unearthed High music competition.
Year 12 students Morgan Dootson and Olivia Delahenty were nominated for possible inclusion in a selection of performances and compositions from HSC Music to be held in Sydney in March 2020.
