According to the Live Traffic app, the Kings Highway between Nelligen and Braidwood remains closed.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution, observe signage and allow for extra travel time.
Conditions are expected to worsen on Tuesday morning as temperatures rise into the mid to late 30s and the wind shifts to the northwest before a southerly change expected mid-morning.
There are still many road closures off the highway as crews work to remove fallen trees and assess damage to culverts, bridges and other infrastructure.
Durras Drive has been reopened for residents of South Durras.
The Currowan Fire remains at advice level as of 5.50am however this may change during the morning. People should monitor conditions and warning via the RFS website https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au.
