The event will be held this Wednesday, December 11, with more than 50 floats, businesses, sports clubs, dance, music, and other clubs booked to join the parade.
This will be the first year Rotary Club of Berry has organised the actual parade.
"We have gone all out to encourage local businesses and groups and clubs to join in the Christmas spirit and celebrate Christmas in Berry and we are thrilled to have such an enormous response," organiser Haseena Tweddle said.
"There will be the ever popular Santa Dash, along with lots of kids in Christmas outfits riding bicycles, walking their dogs, hot rods and vintage cars, along with Santa in horse and carriage. That's apart from the magnificent spectacle of all of the businesses and sports clubs presenting in their decorated floats."
The parade starts from the Berry Showground at 5.45pm, going along Albany Street and then down the main street of Berry, finishing at Apex Park.
Worklife Berry celebrations
To coincide with the Berry Grand Christmas Street Parade, Worklife Berry, the local coworking hub, will be hosting a 'precinct party' for the adults in celebration of all things community and festive.
Joining in the fun will be a range of local businesses and personalities, including:
- Champagne tasting with Justin Lil wines
- Exhibition of original illustrations and limited edition prints by artist and champagne lover Belinda Aucott
- Greenwell Point Oysters from Jim Wild
- Le Petit Bar
- Nourish Kitchen
- Paella by South Coast Paella
- Live music by local musician Greg Townley
- Streetscape styling by Hoorah Events
- Beer from Stoic Brewery Gerringong
The precinct party also coincides with two major milestones for WorkLife South Coast, which opened its doors in Berry two years ago and Kiama one year ago.
The workspaces now support more than 60 small businesses as members and continues to grow as more tree-changing professionals migrate south from Sydney to South Coast towns like Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Gerringong and Kiama.
Worklife founder, Kate Dezarnaulds said her proudest achievement is the contribution the coworking spaces have made towards helping regional communities thrive.
"WorkLife is not just a place to work, we are really focused on fostering a collaborative community. Coworking spaces in regional areas have got great potential to diversify the local economy and encourage professionals to move to regional areas," she said.
"The message we want to get out there is that with a great NBN connection, some designer furniture, an entrepreneurial community and a program of workshops and exhibitions, there is no need to be stuck in the CBD rush to have a great WorkLife anymore.
"Personally, I get immense satisfaction seeing the personal and professional connections that are made. There have been some great collaborations cooked up while sharing a break. It's incredible to see just how hard everyone works throughout the year to make life work here - it's important to take stock and celebrate."
