Current Situation
Fire continues to burn in the remote area of the Currowan State Forest, Shallow Crossing State Forest, Bimberamala National Park to the west of the Clyde River.
Fire behaviour is expected to increase throughout the day along with strengthening north west winds.
On Saturday night, the fire broke containment at Clyde Ridge Road. Crews managed to contain the outbreak, but it is possible that properties in this area may be impacted by fire within the next few days.
Residents in Mongarlowe, Northangera, Currowan and surrounding areas will continue to experience an increase in smoke haze due to southerly winds.
Deteriorating conditions today may see an increase in fire activity.
Advice
If you are in the area of Brooman, particularly along The River Road from Clyde Ridge Road (northern end) to The Sheep Track (southern end), leaving early is always your safest option. If you are planning to leave, leave now.

If you are in the area of Currowan (Clyde), and Mogood, monitor conditions and take advice from firefighters in the area.
If you are in the area of the Currowan State Forest, Shallow Crossing State Forest and Bimberamala National Park, watch out for smoke and embers.
If you are to the east of the Clyde River, remain vigilant and monitor conditions.
Check and follow your bush fire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
