In reply, Illawarra reached 4/81 after 14.2 overs, with Garnero (27 not out) shining.
Sebastian Jeffrey (2/23) was Shoalhaven's best with the white ball.
In the other round four fixture, South Coast (4/35) defeated Highlands (75) on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method at Kevin Walsh Oval.
But Shane Isherwood's Shoalhaven side ended their Jeffrey Cup campaign on a high note, downing Highlands 6/99 to 6/98.
In the four-wicket victory, Shoalhaven were best served by Griffin (29), Jack Sweet (15) and skipper Rhys Burinaga (2/15)

For the Highlands, James Morton (39) and Charles Watman (21) did what they could at Oakleigh Park.
In the other final round fixture, Illawarra edged South Coast 4/105 to 4/104 at Kevin Walsh Oval - thanks largely to 69 not out from Daniel Wark.
These results see Illawarra claim the trophy, with a perfect 5-0 record, ahead of Shoalhaven (3-2), Highlands (1-4) and South Coast (1-4).
During Sunday's two matches, Burinaga's side also featured James Dickinson, Ryan Hall, Justin Rumble, Troy Sweet and Dylan Hattley.
