Gareth Michael Edward Charles Hornley, 33, appeared in Nowra Local Court before registrar Craig Cockburn pleading not guilty to both intentionally recording an intimate image without consent and intentionally distributing an intimate image without consent.
Court papers allege between 4am and 11.15am on October 29 at Callala Bay he recorded an intimate image of a woman and distributed it.
The matters are set down for hearing on June 17 next year.
NSW introduced new laws regarding the recording and distributing of intimate images of a person without consent in June 2017, with possible sentences including three years' imprisonment and/or a fine of $11,000, while the federal government introduced laws in August last year with a maximum jail term of five years, while repeat offenders could spend up to seven years behind bars.
