The hosts made a shaky start, as Conrad Greenshields (13), Brad Field (10) and Matthew Moodley (one) fell cheaply, leaving United at 3/39.

But Harley Bell and skipper Aaron Wester then teamed up at the crease.

The middle-order pair combined for a 117-run fourth-wicket partnership before Wester was dismissed for 56.

Bell went on to make 82 - a knock which included six boundaries and four sixes.

Apart from these two, the rest of United's line-up crumbled, as they were all out for 193 in the 42^nd over.

The pick of the bowlers for Norths was spinner Hugh Gillen, who finished with 4/51 - including a super hat-trick.

Both Justin Weller and Ben Beck claimed two wickets each, as Troy Sweet and Nick McDonald secured one each.

In reply, Norths youngsters Hyeon Parson and Jack Walsh got the visitors off to a solid start, before the former was dismissed for 43 from 52 balls.

Walsh fell 17 runs later for 28, leaving Norths at 2/81.

Captain McDonald (six) was the next to fall, which started a collapse for Norths - who lost 6/28, to fall to 8/128.

Those wickets included Weller (one), Samuel Lowcock (one), Shane Bell (19), Beck (one) and Glenn Tyson (eight).

A determined 32 from Gillen and handy 18 not from Graham Davidson gave Norths a chance before they were ultimately all out for 174 in the 38^th over.

In the win, Alex Baccarini, in his first match this season, led with way with the white ball, taking 5/29 from his six overs.

The other wickets were claimed by Wester (2/40), Angus Rutherford (1/24) and Greenshields (1/59).

This moves United to 3-0 on the season, while Norths fall to 0-3, and sit in second last after four rounds, with only Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens (who had the bye this round) behind them on the ladder.

As such, the first grade table stands at United (39 points), Berry (39), Bomaderry (26), Norths (zero) and Ex-Servos (zero).

Looking ahead, the competition's two unbeaten sides Berry-Shoalhaven Heads and United will meet at the Berry Sports Complex in round five, while the two winless teams (Ex-Servos and Norths) will duke it out at Hayden Drexel Oval - as Bomaderry have the bye.
