Not so, Sunrise weatherman James Tobin.
Tobin joined six-time world record holder, Shoalhaven resident Robbie Maddison, to be the first duo to ride a modified motorbike on the water.
Maddison, who is in town for round three of the Australian Supercross Championships to be held at WIN Stadium on Saturday night, has taken five years to perfect just riding solo on the machine but took it to a new level on Friday morning.
Live on national television show Sunrise and as part of a breakfast celebrating Wollongong's new tourism brand Press Play, the pair hooned across Wollongong Harbour in front of a crowd of interested onlookers gathered around Belmore Basin.
"I'm so glad we didn't go in but it would have been good telly," an excited Tobin said on completing the ride.
"That was one of the great achievements of my life and all I had to do was sit here."
Maddison has performed some amazing stunts in his career including jumping London's Tower Bridge, the Corinth Canal in Greece and riding his modified dirtbike on a wave in Tahiti.
