Cambewarra Public School had strong form at the State Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park with 13-year-old Grace Milner taking out first place for the 100 metres.

Competing in the relay, Laila Hartnett, Hannah Phillips, Grace Milner and Lily Milner also represented their school strongly by making it to the semi-finals.
Grace Milner said she was excited with her result but managed to remain calm during the 100 metre race.
"It went really good. I was quite nervous because I was the fastest time so I just had to focus on my race by keeping calm and then I ran and it was excellent," Grace said.

Grace said it was great to have her family's support at the event.
"I felt really proud. And after the race, my sister actually came down and gave me a nice big hug. So that was really nice," she said.
"I do a little bit of training here and there, but my dad just tells me to get out there and do my best. So that's what I do."
Cambewarra Public School punched well above their weight sending six students to the State Athletics Championships.
Zoe Musson and Amelia Lukes also competed and put in a strong showing at the State Athletics Championships.
It was a huge effort and achievement for the school.
